Stretch & Flex Elementary Restricted Championships:

Stena nearly didn't make it to the regional finals due to problems with her horsebox and then nearly did not go to the national championships after her eight-year-old 14.1hh Welsh-bred gelding knocked his knee.

Mum Karen and Joss Edwards train 16-year-old Stena, who is based in Wales. This win should stand her in good stead for the Talent Spotting Finals (18-19 October) for which she qualified last month.

Machno Ramazes is by Minyffordd Demcrat, damsire Glantraeth Fion, owned by Karin Horner.

The winner of the Open Championship was Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro with 74.31%. The couple also won the medium open title with an impressive 73.14% and retained the title they won last year, the Shearwater Supreme Championship. There seems to be no stopping this talented six-year-old 16.2hh Dutch-bred gelding by Negro.
